On the Path - Sold
This painting depicts poppies blooming in Italy. What a pleasant surprise it was to find these small poppies blooming as I walked along a path in Tuscany. Look at all those different shades of muted greens surrounding the pops of red: olive, sage, hunter, gray-greens, along with shades we probably don’t even have names for. The softness of the light adds an ambience I was pleased to capture with my oil paints.
