I've moved my studio to Artmongerz Gallery downtown. Come visit me!
/It's said that if you're stuck... just stick around and things will change. Well, I have a change to announce here! A new door opened for me, early October, and I took a big leap. I was interviewed, along with my art, and soon was offered a space at Artmongerz Gallery at 610 South Elm Street in Greensboro. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday, from noon until 8pm with the opportunity for me to paint there any time I want, whether or not they are open. I've now moved my studio out of The Creative Center and will be painting in the new space, as well as in my home studio, starting November 1st.
One of the things I like about this new location is we're encouraged to have something new for the front gallery each month. I love challenges and it seems I paint better when there's a reason or challenge like this. Here are the two paintings I'm planning to have available for you to enjoy next First Friday, November 6th. There is just a touch more work to be done to the landscape, which is 40 x 40. For one thing, those two clouds on the right need to be joined and the edges of the painting need some work, too. The abstract of 'My Man' is 30 x 40. You think maybe I should consider painting a wee bit smaller for next month's challenge? Yep, I do believe so!!
Artmongerz Artists
Let me introduce you to the nine other artists at Artmongerz. They are Earl Austin, Jerry Cartwright, Walter Fancourt, Judith Glazier, Chris Koenig, Mitch Matthews, Tracey Marshall, Jose Rodriguez and Dorothy Sellers. And we're open every First Friday each month from 6 to 9pm. We prepare lots of food for you and no wine but tons of water to drink! So make plans to join us soon.
Thanks for reading me and I'd love to have your thoughts from time to time; just post to the comment area below!
